Hi! I’m Joey, a 28-year-old trans man living somewhere in the Midwestern USA. I’m originally from the East Coast, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the beach, snails, axolotls, and severe weather. Honestly, if I could drive, I’d probably be out storm chasing! ⛈️I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been a part of the furry fandom since 2008. TERMS OF SERVICEStimtoys Art Commissions
Effective September 28, 2026By commissioning me, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.---GENERAL TERMSPlease communicate with me clearly, politely, and respectfully.Harassment, hostility, excessive rudeness, or intentionally difficult behavior will not be tolerated. You will receive a warning for your first violation. A second violation may result in your commission being canceled and you being blacklisted.I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a commission if I have had negative experiences with you in the past or otherwise do not feel comfortable working with you. This includes, but is not limited to, rude, sketchy, disrespectful, or excessively impatient behavior.Please provide clean, clear, and easy-to-read references. I do not accept written-only, 3D, VRChat, or AI-generated references as primary references.Please let me know if you have a specific pose, expression, background, outfit, or other details you'd like included. If you don't provide specific instructions, I'll use my artistic freedom to create something that suits your character(s).---COMMISSION QUEUEI generally work oldest to newest, although smaller commissions may occasionally be completed before larger ones.If you request to be moved ahead in the queue, there is a +$10 fee for every commission you wish to pass.I do not normally move commissions ahead without this fee.---PAYMENTAll commissions must be paid in full upfront, unless an approved payment plan is being used.Currency: USDAccepted payment methods:
PayPal · Cash App · Venmo · Square · Zelle · Stripe · Wise · Ko-fiPayment is due within 24 hours of claiming a slot or receiving a payment request. I do not hold unpaid slots.If payment isn't received within 24 hours, your commission slot may be canceled and the related DM may be deleted.Repeated failure to pay on time may result in a block and blacklist.---CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & REVISIONSI will always do my best to make sure you're happy with your commission!Please be as clear as possible when ordering. The more information you provide upfront, the better I can match what you're looking for.MINOR CHANGESSmall corrections are allowed after a commission is completed, such as:• Small piercing changes
• Minor coloring or marking mistakes
• Small alternate versions
• Minor corrections to details that were included in your original referencesIf a change is necessary because your original reference or instructions were unclear, an additional fee may apply.MAJOR CHANGESLarge changes require an additional fee. This includes:• Pose changes
• Outfit changes
• Background changes
• Major redesigns
• Alternate versions requiring substantial redraws
• Anything requiring a significant portion of the artwork to be redrawnPlease be clear about what you want when placing your order!---UPDATES & COMMUNICATIONThere is a 2-week cooldown period after commissioning me. Please don't ask for an update during this period unless I contact you first.After the cooldown period:• Please wait at least 1 week between update requests.
• Please don't message me every day or every other day for updates.
• I will provide WIPs as I reach the appropriate stages.
• I won't send messages simply to say that there has been no progress.Please allow me at least 48 hours to respond before bumping a conversation.You can also check my commission queue before contacting me for an update.If you're unhappy with your commission, please tell me! I'll do my best to work with you and resolve the issue.I will not make exceptions to my Terms of Service for individual clients.Completed commissions are not eligible for refunds or partial refunds.---COPYRIGHT & ARTWORK USAGEI, the artist, retain the copyright to the artwork I create unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.AS THE ARTIST, I MAY:• Display the artwork on my website
• Post it on social media
• Use it in my portfolio
• Use it to promote my artwork
• Display it wherever I choose for promotional purposesAS THE COMMISSIONER, YOU MAY:• Use the artwork for personal purposes
• Print the artwork for personal use
• Use it to represent or promote your character
• Post the artwork publicly with proper artist creditYou own your character(s). You do not own the copyright to the artwork itself unless specifically agreed upon in writing.DO NOT:• Sell or commercially reproduce the artwork without commercial rights
• Claim that you created the artwork
• Remove my watermark/signature without permission
• Alter the artwork without permission
• Redistribute or resell the artwork without permissionCredit to Stimtoys is required when publicly displaying or using my artwork.Violating these terms may result in your permission to use the artwork being revoked.---COMMERCIAL RIGHTSCommercial rights are available for an additional:+300% of the original commission priceCommercial rights allow you to:• Print the artwork commercially
• Sell the artwork
• Distribute the artwork
• Reproduce the artwork
• Use it for merchandise
• Make a profit from the artworkCommercial rights must be purchased specifically for the artwork you intend to use commercially.When commercial rights are purchased, we will both sign a separate agreement detailing the transaction and permitted usage.Commercial rights grant you the ability to commercially use the artwork, but do not automatically transfer the artist's copyright unless a separate written agreement explicitly says so.Once commercial rights have been purchased, artist credit is not required unless otherwise agreed upon.My watermark will normally be removed from commercially licensed artwork. If you'd like it retained, just let me know!---REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONSI reserve the right to cancel a commission and issue a refund at any time.CLIENT CANCELLATIONSYou may request a refund before or at the line-art stage.If approved, you will receive 50% of your commission price back. The remaining 50% covers time and work already invested into the commission.Once a commission has progressed beyond the line-art stage, commissioner-requested refunds are generally not available.If payment hasn't been sent yet, you may cancel your commission without penalty.ARTIST CANCELLATIONSIf I am unable to complete your commission due to circumstances on my end, you will receive a full refund.---CHARGEBACKSIf you have an issue with your commission or payment, please contact me first.I am happy to discuss legitimate concerns and work toward a solution.Unauthorized or fraudulent chargebacks may result in:• Your commission being canceled
• Your usage rights to my artwork being revoked
• A permanent ban from commissioning me
• Being added to my blacklistI reserve the right to provide relevant information regarding fraudulent transactions to payment processors or other appropriate parties.Please talk to me before filing a chargeback.---PAYMENT PLANSPayment plans are available for commissions costing over $200.• A 50% down payment is required to begin.
• The remaining balance must be paid within 2 weeks.
• Failure to complete payment within the agreed timeframe will result in the commission being canceled.
• The applicable refund will then be issued.Repeatedly abandoning payment plans may result in a block and blacklist.---THE COMMISSION PROCESSWIPs are generally provided in this order:SKETCH → LINE ART → FINALAdditional WIPs may be sent if I need clarification about something.Commission completion can take anywhere from a few hours to 6 months, depending on:• Queue position
• Complexity
• Number of characters
• Health
• Work/personal responsibilities
• Unexpected life circumstancesThese are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines.If I am unable to complete your commission due to circumstances on my end, you will receive a full refund.---QUEUE & WAIT TIMESMy Trello queue is kept updated as accurately as possible.If you've paid for a commission but don't see yourself on the queue, please politely let me know! You may have accidentally been missed.Please remember the 2-week cooldown period before requesting updates.WAITING 6+ MONTHS?If you've been waiting 6 months or longer, please contact me ASAP.I do my best to prevent commissions from getting this old, but occasionally someone may slip through the cracks.
